OOU Students Lament Over Ongoing Strike,Tweets #ReOpenOOU On Social Media

OOU-ASUU STRIKE AND ITS SIDE EFFECTS...

Olabisi onabanjo university is an institution with over 25thousand students capacity..A state owned university founded in d late 1980s..OOU produces about 6thousand graduates each year and has produced more than 20 sets...

Yet,OOU has not been able to gain its stand amongst its counterparts....Checking through the 2016 rank-list of universities in Nigeria released by d NUC I couldn't find OOU among d top 30...

Asuu strike today same tomorrow..
A 4years course program has been turned to 5years or more.its only wen u gained admission u knw,wen u ll graduate only God knws...

Many students r now Jobless n roaming abt in d streets simply bcs of d strike....Many r now being engaged wit nefarious activities. Many under age girls are now house wives..Those who v gone to learn a trade are nw beginning to loose hope of being educated...

Tell me why students frm other universities won't laugh at us n shake their heads..Some students frm OAU released a video clip weeks ago and OOU was totally ridiculed...

A friend of mine who gained admission to Covenant University early this year is already in his 200L..OOU is yet to b trough wit her second semester exam b4  embarking on strike....

Again

Facilities are not up to standard for us to enjoy...we struggle to get bus to class, endure in classes, read day n night for exams only to see E1 as ur result at d end..
My Question is where exactly do we get it wrong??..
The first problem oou had is its location.. Fr Heavens sake hw can a university b sightd in dat bush..BT den d deed has been done..
Negligence on d part of d Government is another solid problem..the school hs been closed down fr a month now and yet d state government hs not addressed d issue...
Why den are we paying huge amount of money as school fees
Unless we get it right and we all stand up to make OOU Great....

I hereby call on OOU-SUG OOU-CEC
OOU-SHS
OOU-SEC
And all OOU Students to stand up n demand justice..
Remember to make our dear school great,we nid u and I....
#Re-open #OOU
#Gov.Amosun pls pay up...
#Consider d students..
#enough of strike...
#We want to resume...
