WIZKID, TEKNO, OLAMIDE, OTHERS DOMINATES GHANA MUSIC AWARDS 2016 NOMINEES LIST

Wizkid, Tekno, Olamide and other Nigerian artistes dominate Ghana Music Awards 2016 nominees list.

Nigerian acts, no doubt have proved worthy of the nominee list, as they dominate the African Artist Of The Year category with Wizkid, Tekno, Davido, Olamide and Patoranking all on the list.

All genres of music and acts would grace the event. The event which is put together by Alordia Promotion & West Coast UK Entertainment has carefully selected its nominees for various categories and Shatta Wale seems to be the man of the moment but Mr. Eazi is not far fetched.

The event which seeks to Recognize the achievements of our musicians, has been slated for November 5th, 2016, at Gaumont Palace, 9 The Broadway Wood Green London.

ASUU OOU TO HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE TOMORROW

The Academic Staff Union Of Universities of the prestigious Olabisi Onabanjo University chapter, is  to hold a press conference  tomorrow, Thursday, 22nd of September 2016 as it prepares to adequately address pressing issues relating to the on-going strike.

OOU vanguard gathered that the press conference was to hold yesterday but it has been slated for tomorrow.
It can be vividly recalled that the union embarked on a "no pay, no work" strike action that has halted the free flow of academic activities since  early  of August 2016  till now.
Students are advised to remain calm and be on alert as the outcome of the conference will be adequately communicated to them in due course.

STORY OF CRISTIANO RONALDO AND ALBERT FANTRAU THAT'S UNKNOWN TO THE WORLD…

If you’re a Ronaldo fanatic, you might have surely heard the popular story that has eaten up the internet for a while. And if you haven’t, you are at the right place. The story is about a friend of Ronaldo, Albert Fantrau, who sacrificed his career and cleared the way for Ronaldo.

Well, Ronaldo always remembers him for believing in him and giving him a helping hand in his life.

Read on to the story to know how Cristiano became the legend, he is today.

When Real Madrid won the 10th…

Champions League trophy in 2014, Cristiano Ronaldo stranded the team’s celebration and rushed towards the stadium where thousands of spectators were sitting and out of many football fans sitting, he just pulled one man and hugged him affectionately. And the man was Albert Fantrau!

Ronaldo finally confessed…

“I have to thank my friend, Albert Fantrau, for my success. We played together for a youth club. When people from Sporting Lisbon arrived, they told us that whoever scored more goals would be accepted to their Academy.” “We won that game 3-0, I scored the first goal, then Albert scored a header, and the third was a goal that impressed everyone…”

               And the life changing moment..

Albert went on one on one with the goalkeeper. I was running next to him, he went round the keeper, all he needed to do was to just get the ball into the empty net. But, he passed it to me and I scored. I was accepted to the Academy.

After the match…

After the match, I approached him and asked him, “why” and he answered: “You’re better than me.”

Several years later when the Journalists ran across Albert’s house..

Just after the match, Albert was unemployed and his career in football was over.
When the journalists asked Albert whether the story was true, he said, YES!
Looking at his possessions and wealth, the journalists asked him:

“But where did you get such a gorgeous house, car, etc? You seem to be a rich person…and you also maintain your family…where is all this coming from?”

Albert with his head held high, proudly replied…

It’s all from Cristiano.”

           Another lesson from Cristiano Ronaldo

Never forget people who were there for you in your hard and difficult times and gave you a helping hand.

Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal 0-4

Goals from Xhaka (23), Lucas (60 pen, 71), Oxlade-Chamberlain (90) gave us the win today.

Xhaka scored another cracker from 30yards and Perez opened his account with us tonight with an excellent goal in the 71st minute.
Even though he scored at the end I found watching the Ox frustrating at times.

Let's have your man of the match.

C.Ronaldo and Gareth Bale Back For Real Madrid

Real Madrid have the luxury of welcoming back Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale as they aim to set a new La Liga record with a 17th consecutive win against Villarreal on Wednesday.

Both Ronaldo and Bale missed Madrid's 2-0 win at Espanyol on Sunday, as Real matched the Liga record of 16 wins registered by Pep Guardiola's Barcelona in 2010-11, through illness and a hip injury respectively.
